Story
I'm attempting the 2014 Melbourne Marathon on October 12 and am hoping to raise much needed funds for charity.
This October, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course through the streets of Melbourne and ending back at the world famous 'G!
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
As someone who believes wholeheartedly in a fair go for all and that kids are our most valuable resource and need a lot more support and attention from society, I'd like to think that we can make a difference for some of our most at risk children and our society as a whole in the long run ;)

SHINE for Kids Co-operative Limited
SHINE for Kids provides support to children and their families of an incarcerated parent. These children are classified as the hidden victims of the criminal justice system. SHINE for Kids supports these children through a number of programs and services. We aim at reducing some of the negative effects associated with the incarceration of a parent. These include a fear of being ostracized by the community, shame and isolation. Through the support of SHINE for Kids, we provide the children with hope and inspiration; we nurture them and empower them to reach their fullest potential.
