Running For Camps

Story

This October I will be running to support the organisation that I work for and love - Edmund Rice Camps.

Edmund Rice Camps has been a massive part of my life, it has guided me through my years of studying and my early years of employment. Camps ground me and provide a space for me to reconnect with the community I am a part of.

Edmund Rice Camps are a not-for-profit organisation who rely heavily on fundraising such as this to get by. Since working in the office I have become more aware of where each dollar goes and how to stretch the dollar to meet the needs of as many children and families as we can each camp. Trust me, it is not easy.

Help me make my job easier in supporting families and children doing it tough by donating here, it all goes to a very good cause.

If you would like to know more about Edmund Rice Camps and the work we do, please visit our website - www.ercvic.com or drop me a line in the office.

Thank you for your unwavering support, this will definitely motivate me to get out of bed early on a Sunday morning and get running for camps.

Much love and appreciation, Callie.

Edmund Rice Camps Inc

Edmund Rice Camps is a not for profit charity based in Melbourne.

We connect young volunteers (or young at heart!), to kids and families living in disadvantaged situations. We use residential camps and recreational activities to create opportunities for role modeling positive behavior and to build self-confidence. In 2015 we will run 12 camps for different groups including: Asylum Seekers living in Community Detention, Refugees, Migrants, Indigenous groups and low-socio economic families.
With a 1:1 ratio, kids and volunteers come together to have fun, relax, learn from each other and the have the holiday experience all kids deserve. Visit our website www.ercvic.com.
